What is PVC-free wallpaper?

PVC-free wallpaper is a type of wallcovering manufactured without using PVC (polyvinyl chloride), a synthetic plastic material.

What is the difference between prepasted and non-pasted wallpaper?

There are key differences between prepasted, nonpasted, and self-adhesive wallpaper. Out of the three, you may find that one is a better option for you. While comparing pasted vs unpasted wallpaper, there are pros and cons to consider.

What is unpasted wallpaper? Unpasted wallpaper is often referred to as nonpasted or traditional wallpaper. Unlike our peel and stick wallpaper, it does not have a self-adhesive backing and requires a wallpaper adhesive to stick to a wall or surface.

What is prepasted wallpaper? Prepasted wallpaper has an adhesive coating on its backing. It requires water to be activated before it can stick to your surface

How to Hang Unpasted/ Non-Pasted Wallpaper

Can Unpasted Wallpaper be Removed?

If your wallpaper is installed correctly using the recommended wallpaper adhesive, it is possible for our unpasted wallpaper to be removed. However, unlike our peel and stick wallpaper, our unpasted collection is designed to be a more permanent fixture in your home.

Can You Put Non-Pasted Wallpaper on Textured Walls?

Unpasted wallpaper should be applied to smooth surfaces. Typically, we do not recommend applying our wallpaper on textured walls. However, there are a few instances where it might work.

Unpasted wallpaper can be applied to slightly textured walls, no deeper than an orange peel or knockdown texture. If you are dealing with heavily textured walls, we recommend applying a wallpaper liner first.

It is important to thoroughly clean the walls prior to applying the wallpaper to any textured surface. We recommend a microfiber cloth to wipe away any debris.

We always recommend testing any textured surface with a sample first. A sample is the best way to see how well a print will stick to your walls and if it will remove cleanly before you begin your wallpaper project.

If your wall is freshly painted, it is important to wait at least 30 to 60 days before hanging your wallpaper to allow for the paint to fully cure.

Can Non-Pasted Wallpaper be Applied in a Bathroom?

Yes, our unpasted wallpaper can be applied to bathrooms and high-humidity spaces.

Please note that our authentic grasscloth designs cannot be applied in bathrooms and areas with steam and indirect moisture.

It is important to manage bathroom humidity, water, and heat to successfully use wallpaper in a bathroom.

Here are a few tips that you can follow while applying unpasted wallpaper to a bathroom:

• Install a high-velocity exhaust fan or use a dehumidifier in the bathroom.
• Avoid applying the wallpaper near the shower/tub or areas with water.
• Install a backsplash behind the bathroom sink to minimize splashes.
